Once the level-5 tap is open, Gold Coins stop being a constraint. Eagle Post refills them daily, quests add more, and there is no reason to ration them or to buy them. Play whatever you like.
Sweeps Coins are the scarce thing, because SC is the only currency connected to prize redemption and it cannot be purchased at any price. Every SC you hold arrived free by definition — which means promotions and events, the ones that carry SC, are worth actual attention in a way that a Gold Coin top-up never is.
The practical rule: never think twice about GC, and read the fine print on anything offering SC.
Why the Scarce One Can't Be Bought
It looks like an arbitrary restriction and it is the opposite — it is the rule the entire model rests on.
That is also why "no purchase necessary" is a legal requirement rather than a slogan, and why the free routes on our main guide are not a courtesy — they are load-bearing.
If you could buy Sweeps Coins directly, you would be paying for a chance at a prize. That is gambling, and it would demand a licence that sweepstakes platforms neither hold nor claim. Because SC only ever arrives free, the activity remains a promotion.
